Prometheus
Looks like the internet has more or less talked itself blue about this film so I’ll keep it brief.
First reaction: “Yeah that was a good laugh. Some good shocks, some good horror, some fucking amazing special effects holy crap.”
Second reaction: “Quite a bit didn’t make sense, but… whatever, it was a sci-fi horror, that doesn’t really matter.”
Third reaction: “No actually, quite a lot of that didn’t make sense.”
Final reaction: “Ah well, screw it, I was entertained. Not as good as Alien, but that also goes for most other films made in the last thirty years.”
C+ Not a failure by any stretch, but could have done with more focus, less clunky exposition and David being the actual protagonist. Seriously, screw the humans, that guy was the best and most interesting story. Everyone else was just script filling.
There you go, quick and nasty. Worth seeing, but don’t go hoping for your world to change.
